This course offers an opportunity to receive 6 hours of GT update credit through an independent book study. Blended learning is enabling schools across to personalize learning for all learners. Participants will read the text, Blended Learning in Action: A Practical Guide toward Sustainable Change.
Teachers will be responsible to answer questions and reflect while reading book on blog. A personnel reflection and a response to a peer will be required. Participants will also be required to apply a new strategy/learning in the classroom that benefits their gifted learners, observe classroom instruction and debrief about their experience on blog. All reflections will be posted onto our MDE blog.
In order to receive full credit, all participants will be required to apply a new strategy/learning in their classrooms and reflect about their lesson on the blog. Course participants will be required to visit other classrooms at MDE, reflect and write a blog entry about their observations and personal growth. Course facilitator will document and track course requirements. Credit would be earned on Eduphoria upon completion.
The course will begin June 13, 2016 through Dec. 16, 2016.
